Cotton

We are sure you have some cotton garments already in your closet, and they are perfect for summer! Cotton works well in the heat because it is an airy and breathable fabric that will actually soak up sweat. This allows you to stay cool! There is a multitude of varieties of both colors and different fabric blends that cotton is available in. Though it is quite the breathable fabric, because it will absorb sweat, if it is an extremely hot day your shirt may get a little wet in the areas you are sweating most, and depending on the cut and color of your shirt, it could result in sweat stains. 

Linen

Linen should be known as the fabric of the summer! It is truly one of those fabrics that you tend not to see much of in any other season. It is so popular in the summer due to the fact of how light it is because it is so loosely woven. It absorbs moisture as cotton does, but linen actually dries very quickly and will not leave any part of your clothing wet. The only downside of linen is how easily it tends to wrinkle, but most people find it in style! 

Rayon

Rayon is a man-made fabric that was created in order to be a more affordable version of silk. It is made with a blend of wood pulp, cotton, and other fibers. Because of its thin fibers, it is much more breathable and lighter than most other fabrics. It is great for the summer because it will never lose its airy feel, meaning it will never be sticking to your body in the heat. Rayon does tend to shrink in warm water, so remember to take proper care of the fabric when washing and drying.
